Parent Representatives

Parent Representatives

The Committee on Special Education is in need of parent representation to meet the mandated membership for meetings. This individual must be a parent or guardian of a student with a disabling condition residing in this district. Any parent or individual who is interested in being a parent representative is encouraged to complete the survey and send it back to me.

Responsibilities of a parent representative include being trained on the Committee on Special Education, including the role of the parent member, confidentiality, continuum of services for students with disabilities. A parent member will be asked to attend CSE meetings one or two days a month, if possible. They may also participate in the annual reviews meetings held in the spring. If you are interested in becoming a parent representative, you can contact the building principal of your child’s school or print out this page and send it to Glenn Hurlock at the address below or fax it to 563-5707.
