Encore placed First in the Quarterfinal round of the International Championship of High School A cappella in Troy, NY against 7 other a cappella groups. They now advance to the Northeast Semifinal round on March 16th in Worcester, MA. The top winner of the Semifinals will move on to the finals to represent the Northeast in New York City. Special congratulations to Caelum Gadway who was also awarded outstanding soloist.

Any 9th & 10th grade students who are interested in the college-prep, Upward Bound Program, should submit their applications by this Friday, February 14th. Apply online at the Upward Bound website: www.ubplattsburgh.org/apply or use the QR code on the Upward Bound posters in the hallways.

Take the night off from cooking and pick up a healthy dinner at Chipotles! The Equalosity Club invites you to mark your calendars— Wednesday, February 12 from 4-8 PM: Equalosity is having a Chipotle fundraiser from 4pm to 8pm. The code is on your class team’s page and hangs around the school halls. Equalosity earns money to donate to the Trevor Project https://www.thetrevorproject.org/ offering assistance and resources to prevent teenage suicide in the LGBTQ+ community. Thank you for your support!

Key Club will be selling singing Valentines in most lunch periods until next Wednesday. All Valentines will be delivered on Thursday, February 13th. The cost is $1 for a song and $2 for a song and Hershey Kisses.

Creative Arts Club will be hosting the Power of Love Open Mic. In the Art Room after school next Wednesday February 12th, all are welcome to attend! Sign up acts outside of the art room asap.

Do you want to show someone appreciation on Valentine’s Day Buy a $3 Carnation Flower-gram! Orders can be placed during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Flowers will be delivered Thursday, February 13th. Additionally, we will also be holding a bake sale after school on Wednesday, February 12th. All proceeds will go towards the American Heart Association and funding for district accessibility improvements.
