Freedom of Information Law
The Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) allows an individual to request existing public records from the agency responsible for maintaining those records. Plattsburgh City School District has a designated Records Access Officer who is responsible for accepting and responding to FOIL requests. To make a request for existing public records, please complete and return the attached form.
When you submit this form, FOIL allows Plattsburgh City School District five (5) business days to make the record(s) available, deny access to the record(s), or acknowledge receipt of your request and inform you of the timeframe required to respond to your request. Record Requests Via Electronic Mail: In accordance with Chapter 182 of the Laws of 2006, Plattsburgh City School District accepts requests for records submitted via electronic mail. Those records to which access is granted will be provided electronically to the extent practicable. Those documents which CEWW BOCES is not able to provide electronically will be provided via first class mail for the statutory charge of $.25 per page.
