Absentee Ballot
Need an absentee ballot? Download and complete the application for Absentee Ballot and submit to the District Clerk at 49 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. If mailed, the application has to be received by the District Clerk no later than May 13th if the ballot is to be mailed, or the application can be received (in person) the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered (that day) personally to the voter.
Completed applications received after 4 p.m. on May 13, 2025, will require the voter to personally appear at the Office of the District Clerk to receive an absentee ballot. Completed absentee ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m., May 20, 2025.
Early Mail Voter Instructions **NEW**
Effective January 1, 2024, Governor Kathy Hochul signed into law the New York Early Mail Voter Act, which allows any qualified/eligible voter to be allowed to vote as an early mail voter in these elections.
Early mail voter ballots will be issued, upon request, to residents of Plattsburgh Central School District. If wanting an early mail voter ballot, please complete the early mail voter ballot application first. New York State School District Early Mail Ballot Application
Completed applications must be received by the District Clerk not later than 4 p.m. on May 13, 2025, if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter. Applications can be mailed attention: District Clerk, Plattsburgh City School District, 49 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (they can also be hand delivered).
Completed applications received after 4 p.m. on May 13, 2025, will require the voter to personally appear at the Office of the District Clerk to receive an early mail voter ballot. Completed early mail voter ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m., May 20, 2025.
Please do not forget to seal and sign the early mail voter ballot envelope or it cannot be counted. If you have any questions, please call the district clerk at 957-6002.
